Henry set to rejoin Arsenal
Arsenal’s record goalscorer and current New York Red Bull Thierry Henry has been offered a two-month loan spell and a chance to return to his former club according to several reports from England late on Thursday.
Henry, 34 has been training with the Gunners since the MLS season ended in November and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen to bring the club record goalscorer back into the fold as the likes of attackers Gervinho and Marouane Chamakh won’t be available due to their commits to the African Nations Cup.
It is expected that Henry will sign the contract within the next 48 hours and the former French international could feature in up to seven premiership games – including a games against Manchester United and North London rival Tottenham.
Henry could also feature in FA Cup ties as well as the two-leg UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie against AC Milan before returning back to the Red Bulls ahead of the start of the MLS season in early March.
